I have the utmost respect for Dravid as a cricketer. But his inclusion in the current squad needs to be questioned.
Dravid struggled even at domestic Ranji trophy matches & failed to notch up even a single decent score.
would a youngster like cheteshwar pujara( Know more about Cheteshwar pujara at http://sixer.blog.co.in) been a better choice against this English Side.
Did the selectors err in Picking up dravid this time ?

A senior player like R.Dravid knows when to play and when to retire senior players like him must be trusted as bad patches come and go i think he has been given a chance to come back in form. Selectors have a tough job on hand and why do you think yuvraj is given chances again and again? He scored less than 50 runs in australian series in Australia. If a batsman is playing well in one day you will consider him bad for one dayers. Well in India everyone has there own view about cricket u and i are no exception but professionals know there job best. Happy mylotting friend.....................

you may be spot on with your observations here. But history does suggest that selectors were rewarded when they took tough decisions.
eg: 1).G.R Viswanath was dumped before the prudential cup & India went on to lift the cup.
2). Shewag, who was not even in the probables list was drafted into the australian tour & team India got its strongest player ever since.

Wll Rahul Dravid is going through the worst patch of his career.Like all good things come to an end one day,it seems his career as a Test cricketer is finished and perhaps we may see the end of Rahul Dravid during this series against England.
This series will give him an opportunity to call quits rather than facing the humiliation of being dropped from side.
