until the Good Lord and Verizon bless me with internet again. Today is the last day I will have internet access in this house. The new house has no telephone lines as yet, so I do not know how long I will be gone from here. I do hope you all will behave in my absence, especially Irishfrndly65
I do hope that no one gets their feathers ruffled if I do not reply to comments that I receive after today. I don't want to be answering in the middle of January things that say Merry Christmas
Since I will not be here, I'm sure, before the holidays I want to wish you all the very best. I hope that whatever days you celebrate are filled with love and laughter and great times.
Just remember...I shall return!... I just have no clue as to when

I have been stealing wireless for 6 months till about a month ago. I would sit in my front window until I got service just to keep up with my internet stuff. I know the feeling not having the net. I have made many friends over the 10 years I have had access to the net, and it is hard to leave everyone behind. I love chatting and places like my lot where you can hear what other people have to say from their side of the world. Wish you luck in the new year hope to see you around!

Too sad that you have to go, but you can connect using a mobile phone or external modem. Although the charges are crazy when using a mobile phone but you can make few posts and still be connected to friends and family.
I hope it doesn't take you that long to have telephone in your new home

Good luck in your new home fwidman. Sorry you will be off line for a while and with Christmas it will probably take even longer to get a connection sorted out and all.
I wish you a Merry Christmas now then and all the best of luck in 2009. Take care and see you next year.

You will be missed by many including myself. I recognise your shoes anywhere now on here and even though we do not come into much close contact I will be aware of an important missing piece.
I don't envy you moving at holiday time either.
Happy holidays to you and yours and look forward to 'seeing' you aginin the New Yaer!

I do hope you all will behave in my absence,
Why? We don't behave when you ARE here. Are you afraid you will miss something really good?

Is there a way that you can go wireless? That would be the answer unless you are really remote in your new house. That could be a problem. Just a thought, hopefully it is possible.

Good luck with the move and hope that you enjoy the new house. However I do not envy you the move with all that you will have to do to get it into an order that you like. Being without a landline will not be much fun for you I would think so hopefully one wil be connected for you in the near future.
Now on the positive side of things, witihout the internet being connected as least you will be able to get the new house into order quicker. Once you have the house in order it will also be much easier to make it into a home .. and there is a vast difference between the two.
Maybe you will be able to access the internet through an internet cafe. Also check out the local library, because many town libraries actually have the internet connected. Some of them let you use it for free for a short time and others charge but generally it is not too expensive anyway.
Hope that all goes well for you and that you are soon back on the air fwidman. In the meantime all the very best wishes for a Happy Christmas and a Safe New Year.

I understand of moving to new house where there is no telephone line, and you have no idea when you will get the phone line. I experienced the same when I moved into the new house, it took me about half a year to get my phone line. Luckily I am still able to go online sometimes at work, but I couldn't really surf net. Hopefully you will get your phone line very soon. Enjoy your new house and Merry Christmas to you! :)
