Tipple?

In the UK, drinking, I would say, plays quite a big part in celebrating Christmas in most families. Like last year I won't be drinking much. I am on my own with my kids and I don't like to drink alone, it doesn't seem right. My mum will be at my house on the 27th so I will probably have a drink with her then. She has already told me that she has bought a bottle of Bailey's, my favourite, and during a discussion with another mylotter I have just remembered that I have forgotten to get some Advocaat. I have still got a nearly full bottle of Brandy in the cupboard from last year but that is just to put out for Father Christmas on Christmas Eve, to put in the coffee on Christmas morning and to pour over the Christmas pudding. We don't drink these sort of beverages during the year, only at Christmas time so it will always remain a treat.
What is your favourite tipple? What alcoholic beverage do you get in especially for Christmas?

I don't drink much, but the occasional glass of rum with a hint of eggnog and after spending two years in England, I do enjoy a little Baileys in my coffee on Christmas morning...

Hi ya brownsfanb4u and welcome to myLot
Yep, you can't beat a bit of Bailey's around Christmas time, can't say I have ever had it in my coffee though! I usually have a shot of brandy in my coffee in the morning just to wake me up, warm me up and get me ready for the long day ahead! LOL
Thanks for your response
