do you ever watch movies from India ?

I am in India so I don't have much of a choice. Also to us, english movies seem too short and not worth the price of the ticket. I guess we are just used to longer movies! And nowadays its not all singing and dancing. Many filmmakers are now making serious movies without the singing (except for the starting and ending credits). Bollywood is getting to be very powerful!

hi, that is the same in my country, they are many chanels still showing indian movies. and really , it's a very special kind of movies , with too long duration for sure, singing and dancing. but also the stories are such the same. a forbiden love story , with family contrast . or gang war story . and the weirdest , is that the end is always enjoying . i mean , a mariage between the tow suffering lovers or the glory of goodness VS evil . now i just stopped watching them, it's too long for me. and for the reason , that i don't even wait for television to watch movies. i prefer buy DVD or downloading . that's all. but i keep , some good impressions about some indian movies , like "kuch kuch ho tahei", "kabi khushi kabi g ham" or "devdas". Oh crap , all these movies , have "sharuk khan" as main hero , that's not a hazard :-)

I usually don't watch movies from India, but one day I went by my friends house and she was watching this Indian version of Pride and Prejudice. That just happens to be my favorite book in the whole entire world and I really got into the movie. It was taken in modern day but it's basically followed the plot of the original book. I didn't think that the guys were really that great looking but the women were really pretty and I felt envious. So I would be interested in seeing more since it was so cool.
