Fireworks for christmas

In the city where I came from, nowadays fireworks are being banned and nobody lits up fireworks even on christmas day because its dangerous. Here where I am now fireworks starts already on the month of october it's going on every night. Sometimes it's annoying, sometimes it made me jump. Do you lit up fireworks on chritmas day and new year's day? If not, why not?

We have a lot of fireworks going ogff in the run up to Halloween. We do have them at new year also but thank goodness they are not being let off like Halloween.
The noise from children letting them off all over the place is awful. The dogs go mad and I feel sorry for old people.
I really love to see fireworks though, but I think organised displays is a lot safer and children should not be near these things.

Yes it's dangerous for children, I had seen some people who lost their arms or feet and injured because of the fireworks. I feel sorry for the vulnerable adults and young ones (children) too, I'm sure some of them are scared when they can hear the fireworks especially if they got dementia it can make them jump and shock. I sometimes even think I heard the noise of a gunshot but it was really a firework.

It will be my first year here in USA so, I do know really what to expect as far as fireworks is concern..LOL! I haven't heard anyone maybe not in this neighborhood!
In the Philippines particularly in our Baranggay, we have different fireworks during new year, but I only love to watch and do traditional way which is making sounds out of anything in the house! LOL! I miss the celebration there![/i]

Yes, it's more lively there and all the people just made sounds of anything they can make noise with, some even use pans to make sounds and just about anything really. It was noisy but it was fun especially you can see the people that they are really looking forward and happy to meet and start the new year. I missed it too, I didn't feel that spirit in here it's boring here, last year my new year was started with tears of sadness.
