My pop up blocker isn't working anymore!

I have been getting a tremendous amount of pop up advertisments in the last week. I have never had this issue before, I don't understand the problem. My pop up blocker is still active and up to date. For some reason the ads just keep popping up. There are even adult oriented ads that I don't understand why they are coming up. It is very annoying. Anyone else have this issue?
