Did you forget to turn of the light?

Oh yes I do.. my whole house would be lighted up because i have this habit of getting up at 5 AM. Since its dark all the lights are on. Then I usually get ready for school with 5 minutes to spare and in the resulting rush, i forget EVERYTHING. Once even my housekey -.-

Yes, this happened to me more than once actually. The bathroom like you, I just was in a hurry and forgot to turn it off, would come only God knows how many hours later and see it still on...so after saying a few curse words I turned it off and stomped upstairs in a grouch.

Well, that happened to me yesterday... but not the bathroom light but the light outside my apartment door... it my daily habit to turn it off before i go to the bathroom in the morning... but somehow... i forgot to do it yesterday... and saw my mistake when i got back from the office... Good thing i am using the energy saver light... so not that much electricity was wasted... but still...

Hi dieorfly, Usually I go around checking making sure all lights are switched off, but my husband got a habit of not checking and when we go out sometimes I find the upstaires landing lights are on, I usually tell him off about it. Tamara

Yeah, it happens to me as well. It's usually in the living room or in my room, because that's where I am most of the time. xD During the summer when I go to my grandparents' house, it's a given that I'll forget to turn the lights off outside in the morning (they're on the whole night or else the sleeping rooms are all pitch-black and you can't find your way out of the room at night at all). I do intentionally leave the lights on sometimes though, because if my dog's at home alone she'll probably need light to move around at least in one room. Otherwise, like you said, there's no point in leaving the lights on when you're out of the house - unless you're a fan of wasting energy.

This happens to me a lot in my closet. I have a large walk in closet thats also a dressing room. For some reason after getting out of the shower and getting dressed I forget to turn the light off. Usually i remember before leaving my house to turn it off, but there have been times when I have been gone all day to come home and that light still be on. I feel so bad when it happens because it raises my electic bill, and I agree with you it is bad for the environment. Good thing though I have an energy saving bulb.

I like to make sure that all the lights are turned off before I leave. Although, there are times when I forget.

I do not really forget to switch the lights off when i'm going out, but somehow I forget to switch it off when I go to sleep. It so happens that I'm lying on the bed reading something and poof, I fall asleep and when i wake up in the morning, the lights are on and I'm surprised to see them on even though I know I have left it on.. But sometimes I have left the ceiling fan on when I went out of the home and came back later to find it on. bourne

Yes, this has happened for me too many times. I think its a human behavior and the best we can do is to try and reduce these mistakes. I have forgot to switch of light even a couple of times in this week itself. Some times even worse. I even forgot to switch of my fans. One day I still remember, I was watching TV by lying on the bed in the night and felt asleep and slept. The next day morning, the TV was running. These things happen in day to day life and yes it definitely hurts when it come to electricity bill for me.

some time it happens to me same problem,when i am so busy,i am also forget to turn of the light.but i think it is not good habit for me.i should change my babit.

Sometimes, I forgot to turn off the light after using the bath room especially when I am about to reach on the late line. I usually don't care about the electric bill since I am not responsible of paying it. I guess in a week I forgot to turn off the light around 10 or 15 i guess.

i was cleaning in the visitor's bathroom when i finished i went to our bathroom in the bedroom and do the cleaning too. When I was done i decided to go to the kitchen and when i walked in the hallway i saw a light coming from the visitors bathroom and i really said to myself yucks i forgot to turn off the light and yep i think about the energy coz we have 2 bulbs in there.

i have a real bad habit of doing this all the time and now that my mom is at my grandparents place taking care of them my dad gets oh so annoyed with me regarding this problem of mine..... i sit in one room....i switch on its lights and fans and then when i go into another room i forget to switch them off..... and then i get yelled at all the time.... i really dont know what to do...should i keep a reminder in my phone after i switch them on to switch them off? i wonder if its so hard really to remember to switch them off ...i do remember sometimes but mostly i tend to forget !!

I don't like wasting. So when I go out, be sure I will turn off any lights. I love China

i never did forget to turn off the light anywhere in our house. i always make a second check. hey, why dont you practice to checking the light and practice to turn it off. if you wont do you know what is your prize its a big billing for your electricity. hehehehe. lol... just try to practice i do agree that sometimes we do forget turning off light.... :-)

no i don't. but i used to forget to turn of the lights. lately my electricity bills have been very high and i am being extra careful about turning off lights and fans. it is very astonishing when you check your self how much electricity one waste a single day.

I always turn off my lights at my house when I am going to work or somewhere. I always check each room. If there is light still on, then I turn of it. I don't waste energy, because energy is rare items.

I often forget to turn off the exhaust fan in bathroom after I bathe. And when I note this, it has runned for several hours. My husband blames me for several times. Now I do a bit better than before, but sometimes I forget too.
