How many of you get really into your writing and can get emotional when the story line gets emotional? I know that I've written a couple of songs that have been so powerful that I've had tears of joy and other emotions flowing through me.

I'm an intuitive and empathic writer...that is, I feel every bit of my story as if it is actually happening. I can't write it if I don't feel it. Considering how violent most of my books tend to be, I guess it's not that astounding that people always wonder how it could've come from someone so young as me and why I'd write it. But it's really theraputic and I think it improves me ability to understand other people, putting myself in each character's shoes.

I agree with you, violent stories are some of the most emotional writings you can do. I usually use some pretty graphic lines in some of the stuff that I write and when I put myself into a person that is a killer or something like that I can always come up with a very good finished product. I also agree with you that it does help to relieve stress when you step into your character's shoes and really get a feel for who they are.

I once cried while writing a chapter for one of my stories but I wasn't sure if it was because of the song I was listening to at that time or was it my plot. I always wondered about it. But maybe I will let my readers decide later.

I would have to say that letting your readers decide would definitely be a good test of how good your writings are. Good luck with your book or whatever and thanks for your response.

I get emotional when writing. Not just tears of sadness, laughter as well. Sometimes funny things happen to my characters and I have to laugh. I think it is the connection between what is being written or composed and the creation. It taps into deep emotions. Sometimes they are so overwhelming, these emotions must come out. My hope is that the reader can connect with my characters as deeply as I do. Of course, I think that is every creator's deepest wish. That what the creator feels also moves those who are the audience. Good luck on your songs.

Yes I agree with you, I love feeling the emotions transpose through you onto paper when I'm writing. You can really create something beautiful when you sit down and get into a mood for writing or whatever your good at.

I get really emotional sometimes. I once wrote a story which made me cry and cry. I don't really know what happened, I was crying when I wrote the story and when I had finished writing it, I wanted to read it through and then I started crying again. The strange thing is, it wasn't a story taken from my own life, if I had been very emotionally involved in it, it would have been natural to get very affected by it, but that wasn't the case. It was just a story, a very sad story.

Wow that's a pretty amazing story then. I've had writings where they bring me to tears while writing them and reading them after I've written them. I tend to tear up because of how good the piece that I was writing is. I generally just write when I feel it and don't really analyze it or change it so sometimes after I'm done writing I don't even know what I wrote down. I go back and read them and sometimes they are just beautiful.
