Should all politician required to tape their day. These digital recorders can be worn on a person's belt and record for at least 24 hrs. The recording can be saved to disk and the there is voice software that can make a written transcription. This way there would no doubt what the politician said since the disk can not be altered. What do you think?

i think thats ridiculous and it violates our ammendments. politicians are people to and maybe some of them crooks. they have lives. if someone has a meeting and wants to tape it i think thats fine but to make them carry a recorder everywhere they go is wrong.

What would be the point? I personally don't feel that because you have chosen to serve and work in politics that your life should be scrutined to the degree that it is.
I don't think that we as the public have the right to know every detail of a politicians life. I think its absolutely ridiculous but can see how the public would get a kick out of this, since we seem to have an obsession with the lives of celebrities and politicians.
Its like we think their lives should be glass. I am so not intereste in hearing him pee, burp, fart and whisper sweet nothins to his/her partner.

If politicians were forced to do that, and I'm sure a lot of them would be against it, it's actually something against the human rights, the right to privacy.
But if I were to be asked, I think that these would actually be good for all of us, because these lying people would be made to shut up. Hehehe..
They should also be videotaped on what they're doing exactly because most of these people don't really work. They're just there for display.

It would only work if there was no "OFF" or "MUTE" button for them to turn it off when they didn't want something they said to be heard.

No, I don't believe that any group should lose any rights...in this case the right to privacy...because of the actions of some bad apples. Politicians are people, too, and like the rest of us, have private conversations as well as public ones. We can't start treating all of them like criminals.

Yes, I think this is an excellent idea. They want to wire tap us for doing absolutely nothing so why not.
