When I first started using the internet I was addicted to chatting. It was a whole new world to me and I loved it. I wanted to chat all the time, but at that time I had a very bad internet connection and it was a lot more expensive back then, so I couldn't just chat as much as I wanted to. I still like to chat sometimes, but I don't spend as much time on it as I once did.

Yeah, back when I started college and had almost constant internet access, chatting was something I did near constantly. It's toned down a lot since then, due to real life and such, but yeah it's easily an addiction if you let it be, same as anything else can be when taken in excess.
