During Winter we have some traditional holidays which is good for planning a travel. I always choose to go hot places around the sea area because it rescues me from terrible Winter for some days. But I see many others choose to visit cold places. If I have to go cold places, that must be under some forces :-)
What is your choice? Go hot places or go cold places?

I really don't like the cold feeling in the winter and if I onluy have a choice I want to move from where we are to a tropical place or state. I don't really know much of the places here in the USA since am still quite new here but most of my friends said that it's nice in Florida because it's not snowing there. I guess I like it in Calif since I've been there and they don't get snow either. I just like to go to placves that doesn't snow.

I prefer to visit a hot place overseas when the weather gets cold in my home country. The worst season in my homeland is winter and it lasts from November to February. In the winter of 2006 I got a cheap flight to Mexico and then traveled around some of Central America. I did some snorkeling in the Caribbean and I climbed to the top of the Mayan ruins. I went on an exciting cave adventure and stayed for a few nights in a tree house. Next month I am taking my toddler son to Cape Town for two week. I love traveling. The best travel destinations during winter in my opinion are tropical islands like Tobago, Grenada, Mauritius, the Seychelles or Tonga. One winter I went to snowy Austria and it was so very cold. I am a person that adores sunshine and warm weather.

Hawaii is a great place to travel during the winter. I'm in Hawaii right now and it's nice and warm (low 80's during the say and 70's in the evening). I'll be returning back to California where I freeze, but it still doesn't snow where I live. I can't imagine living where it's freezing cold. I am probably going to Canada early next year though. I've never seen falling snow in my life so that would be the only reason I want to travel to some where cold. I'm excited, but my other friends tell me that snow is over rated. I need to determine that for myself though.

Unless you're into winter sports or nature vacations, I say the hotter the better. Not only does it give you a break, but you can come back with an impressive tan that would be impossible to get at home!
A good thing about winter vacations to cold areas though, is that they may be closer to travel to. If you've never done it before it could be cheaper and a fun new experience.
