Do you prefer e-mail or just write letters?

I choose the first one.More and more people are communicating with each other by e-mail now.E-mail has great deal of advantages. The most important one is that sending e-mail is so fast that we need not wait for a long time to get the message we want.We can exchange our feelings and ideas easily.I don't write letters now,for it will take a long time for your friends to receive your letters.
What about you?

i too agree on e-mail rather than writing letter the formost reason genration changed which looks everything speedy so e-mail solves the process very faster and cost effective when compaed to write letter courier r post it then it take lot of time to travel and not sure the person read r not all gets to confusion and useless tension

I always prefer e-mail because it is more convenient than writing letters. E-mail is more accessible and you can compose letters right away, unlike writing letters that it takes time to finish then the painful process of going to the post office enduring long line and you have to pay. IN email it is free.lol!

I prefer email. No stamps to buy or worrying about forgetting to mail it. I also like the fact that it will get to the person in a few minutes or hours instead of having to wait days or weeks for it to go through the regular mail system. As long as the person you are emailing checks their email every day, the email system is a lot faster. I also like the fact that using email instead of writing letters cuts down on the use of so much paper. It is a good thing when you can cut down on the amount of paper used because it saves trees and reduces the amount of waste that would eventually find its way into our landfills...

Emails and letters both represent better for different things. But basically, email still stands out as a very good form of communication, like the many advantages that you've stated, so i don't think i need to elaborate on that.
As for the snail mail aka letters, they are still very important when it comes to sincerity. Such as, if you're going to write a love letter, there is much more sincerity shown if you write it personally, rather than to email the intended person. Another example would also be bank statements which is better to be sent in a hard-copy format rather than by emails.

Yes, to all you said, but still.... don't you remember (how old are you? Maybe you don't!) going out to the mail box and finding a letter with your name on it and running up to your room and reading it in private personal time... or just to take a few mintues out of your buzy day and sit down and read from a friend or loved one and actually hold the letter in your hands as you lay back and relax and read the news... instead of sitting in a chair staring at a screen? Yeah, you can print it out, but after you've read it once, what's the point? and why print it out.... just save it on your hard drive and read it later... but you just can't get that personal "all mine" feeling with an email, that you get with a snail mail letter.
I write to my little grand daughters every week - one is 2 the other 9 nad they don't write back, but the 9 year old tells me that she loves getting my letters and has them in a special box on her dresser and when she gets lonely at home, she pulls them out and reads them again. That makes me feel good that I can be there to help her through her loneliness.. can't do that with an email!

i absolutely love email. i think it is one of the greatest things ever. it is so easy to keep in touch with people. you can write any time of the day or night and know the person will get it as soon as they sign into their email account. i have a few friends who live in other states and to talk on the phone would be very expensive but i can email all of the time and it is virtually free. i have not written a snail mail letter in almost 8 years.

In doing daily and routine communications email is best but there are some business mails that you really need to be sent using snail mail. I haven't done writing letters lately except for notes or few words that we put on a card or any other form of communication.
Email has been so effective that it reaches the receiver in just few seconds and you get a reply on same process. Easy, convenient less costly.

I almost never write letters because I need to pay for postage, might get lost in the mail, etc. I still send letters when the internet is down or if im sending a package with it though.

I prefer "sending" emails for the ease and speed of it. I prefer "receiving" paper mail. The written letter has more weight and meaning since you know the person took the time to write it and spend the money to put a stamp on it.
I guess it really comes down to what application is it for. Email has been a huge advance for productivity in this world.

Hi ya simon611
I too prefer to send emails. I am very busy during the day with my kids and so I can relax and write emails to my friends and family. It is convenient for me and they can read it in their own time, even 2am if they wish and it's not disturbing anyone. I can type alot quicker than I can write too and when I rush to write a letter my hadwritting gets all messy and that really annoys me.

In this modern world, nobody has time to keep posting letters and all.. The most fastest, efficient way to communicate is through e-mail.... I would also like to add dat when u really want to touch a person`s heart, go for writing letters.. Words written in ur handwriting are more personal than just typed letters from the computer.. Though traditional, letters are the best!!! Due to the fast pace of the world, we are not able to appreciate its glory!!!
