Are you on a lap top right now? I am! I love my Acer. I just got it in may of 08 so it's still pretty new to me. Sometimes on my lot my discussions get posted before I'm finished. I think I hit the mouse thingy and mess it all up. Does this ever happen to you? What type of lap top do you own?

Mine ia a hp laptop which I bought abt 3+ years back. I absolutely love my laptop coz: 1) It was a very high spec model when I first got it, After 3 years it's still at reasonable spec and not outdated yet. 2) I got it at a very good price due to my sister staff purchase. 3) very durable hardware, after 3 years of usage, I've only need to replace the lcd screen once due to lcd burn. I intend to use it for another 2 -3 yrs.

I prefer desk tops, they last for years or until the windows system stops updating the software for them.

I wouldn't mind that aspect but the stupid mouse pad, if that's what it's called, gets in the way and on the one I tried to use I always ended up going places I didn't intend to go simply because the heel of my palm got too close to it @celticeagle I'd like it better if that pad were off to the side instead.

I have DELL inspiron 1525. I got it in august 08 and I like it very much. After getting my laptop I stopped touching my desktop. I do all my things in this laptop.

Yes, I'm using a laptop, too. I have a Dell and I'm very used to it so I have trouble using the desktop computer since I don't normally use a mouse with the laptop...although I have one. Laptops are very convenient for me because my husband and I go out of town every few months and I can take it with me and get online from the motel.

Yes I do use a laptop while myLotting. Not only because this is my laptop and it is convenient but also because my desktop computer is being used by my 15-year old niece most of the time. My laptop is also much faster in performance than our desktop computer. I also got my laptop last April 08 only and it is quite new because I don't use it 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. I use it only during nighttime in weekdays although in longer times during weekends. Thankfully, that has not happened to me. I haven't messed up anything here yet. I have a Sony Vaio laptop and I really love it!

Yes, I am on the company's laptop right now as I am sitting in one training that we are conducting for a certain company. I'm doing a report and at the same time mylotting. My laptop is a simple ECS. It'll do until I get back to my own desktop in the office.

yeah I usually use my laptop when online. I have a desktop PC in my home office, but I rarely use it actually. I only use it occasionally. I usually have the TV in the living room on, and I sit on the couch while working on my online activities. I connect to the internet using a wireless network. I don't usually have too much trouble posting stuff here on mylot. It took me a while to get used to using that little mouse on my laptop, but I have gotten pretty good at it now. I still have a regular mouse that I plug into it sometimes, though, depending on what I am doing at the time. If you have a newer laptop, it should have at least one USB port. If this is the case, you should be able to use a a regular mouse (I use an optical mouse with both of my computers), as long as it is convenient for you. I usually use my laptop here at home. Only occasionally do I take it out with me, so using a regular mouse is usually not a problem. I was actually surprised that my optical mouse works right on the couch cushion without need of a mouse pad or anything. This may help you solve your problems with the built-in mouse on your laptop. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron B130. It is really nothing fancy, but it does what I need it to do, so I really don't need anything else. I may get a new one eventually and give this one to the kid, but for right now, I am happy with what I have.

I have a desk top but I'm always on my "lenovo" lap top, It let's me move around. I take outside on the porch and sit.I'll do some surfing while watching TV.I have had the problem of hitting the mouse by accident, usually all that happens is that I have to go back delete , move cursor back to the end of my sentence and start typing again.over all ya gotta love a lap top.

sometimes, right now, i'm mylottin from my mac mini, sometimes from my mac book. Just try lift your fingers a bit higher when typing on the notebook, and I think its the thumbs that mess up the track pad -- your thumbs hit it, even if you don't intend to, so keep an eye on that as well. thanks
