Do Amazon also send things to India?

I heard from a friend that when you buy things from websites.... when you get the stuffs... they charge you tax for it....in India.. so with the tax.. its not even worth buying....better to buy it in india then.... anyway... thats my piece of advice... if anyone can confirm what i just said.......

amazon sends some products to India not all. this is what i realized. and then you also have to manage the customs clearances if its not a book. but i found this site, 20north.com which delivers your purchase to your doorstep in India, the customs duty is included in the cost along with shipping costs and they accepted my icici bank credit card. and i can tell you this that their product range is as good as ebay or amazon and your are likely to find what you are looking for at 20north.com

well i think they do have the facility but then they will charge you extra shipping cost for that i guess. i think if you are in india, then try for ebay.co.in or you can also try futurebazar. these websites are from india and so you can save that extra on the shipping cost which is also a lot when it comes to sabings. -thanks!
