I keep a habit that when I feel either happy or sad I will write down on my diary and after that I will feel much better. It just like you have just talked about what's your feelings with a old good friend, though it won't anwser, it always there to listen to. That's great, at least for me.
Sometimes, it always took me some time to write my feelings down, and maybe not a while but 2 to 3 hours. That's OK because I enjoyed the feeling. I was not write for anyone or anything, only write for write, for me.

I also like to write down my feelings and thoughts in my diary. It is a often a great help. Sometimes when I am sad, I don't really know why I am feeling that way, and in order to find out what is going on with me, I write about it. Writing helps me clear up the mess in my head. Before I start I only know that there is a feeling of pain inside me, but after writing about it I often realize where the pain comes from, and writing helps me understand myself better.
