i got a automatic restart problem

It could be your power source. I'm not talking about the plug or the UPS or AVR, I'm talking about the power source inside your casing where all the parts get their power. My friend had a similar problem before. His power source wasn't producing enough power for his computer and would constantly reboot. It could be that. If not, check what the other people above said. It could be loose connections on the motherboard or something. Maybe a hard drive failure or broken RAM.

Another aspect which you should look at for your automatic restart problem is the physical condition of your computer system. If your computer is a few years old then you should look carefully at the following. 1) Random Access Memory. A failing RAM unit can cause this problem. Test with a new RAM module. I faced the same problem with another PC and it proved to be caused by RAM failure. 2) Hard disk failure. This should be suspected if tests with new RAM does not cure the problem. 3) Corrupted system files. If this is the case then you will have to reinstall Windows. I also had the same problem. My UPS was having some problem itseems. If you are using UPS, then it might be the problem. Not sure.

could be the memory card. if your using a video card beside the one on your board. it could trigger a restart when it is very hot. try ventilating your pc or even use an airconditioner.

dude the most simple solution to the problem is reboot your pc it would be a lot better. i hope it helped coz i get this problem after every 8-9 months
