Hi, i'm using Window Vista Home Edition . and sometimes it really pissed me off with its bugging, especially its uncompatiblity with other programs which are important to my studies. in otherwise, i realy like, the graphic design of it, and its new fonctionnalities like Fast-search, the user security, and other stuff, and i just can't go back to XP .
now, i'll try to upgrade to windows Vista Business edition, people told that's better.
what about you ? are you using Vista Business Edition , tell me about it?
or just tell me about your current OS .

It is easy, look at MY triple boot setup lol. Ubuntu makes it easy to use both if you have enough disk space. Just start the Ubuntu installer, it will show you.

Linux is fine, but it's almost impossible to use 100% of the time as a desktop OS. Please, don't think I'm lacking the skills; I've been using Linux for 10 years and I've written parts of it lol...But anyway, I've tried moving solely to Linux so many times but I always get pulled back to the dark side by my need to run Windows software, such as Visual Studio, MatLab, MathCad, and Chinese support in Linux is crap...Linux is fine if you can get by with open source software, but if you're forced to use certain Windows apps because of work, college etc. you'll be frustrated because you can only use it 50% of the time, and what's the point? That's just not convenient at all. Gah. One day I'll get away from all this Microsoft crap. Good luck to you though Swerdna - Keep spreading the word -_-

I use Mac OS 10.5.5, Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64, and Windows Vista Enterprise (Think of it as an enhanced business version) 64 bit. I like all three.

hi dear
after using your system for some days..vista will make your system very slower..it uses lot of processing speed..you will see the difference later in 2 months better to change your os to windows xp with the help of laptop company technician now itself..after having many datas in your system it will be hard to change the os..
thanks

i don't think having a lot of data will make it hard for you to switch os. as long as you back up your data somewhere safe, you good to go.

I'm using XP right now, and it's still the best OS for me so far. No one can argue with me since I've use Vista in the past and it just doesn't suit me and my expectation. hehehe :) XP is compatible to almost all programs and is more efficient and fast compared to Vista. But there's one thing I like about Vista though, it's GUI. It's very appealing and unique. If only Vista is as good as XP in terms of it's functionality, I could be using Vista right now.

I'm using Windows XP on my desktop and Windows Vista Ultimate on my laptop, I can say I'm pleased with them, they don’t give me trouble and I'm pretty satisfied with them, by the way, what do you think of Linux OS?

i'm using windows xp. i like it very much. i can say im more comfortable using it than vista which i tried for a week then downgraded my o.s. to xp again. if you asked me 4 years before if i like windows xp, i would say no, coz then it has so many bugs and needs a lot of fixing. but now with sp2 i could say its perfect for me.

Well vista makes your system go slow. what ever your specs are it makes it really slow.. and i personally did not like vista i have used vista business edition, its better than the home basic edition but i dont think that its better than XP. I think windows XP is the best OS so far. I got vista in my laptop but i changed it to XP coz i dint like vista alot...
