What was the best piece of advice you ever got?

Who give it to you and how has it helped you in your life? I suppose mine was given to me by my grandmother and it was....People will treat you in the way you present yourself. I use it everyday .

There was a time when I hated my father's constant repetitions of, "Good enough isn't good enough," and I thought I'd never want to live up to it, just to rebel. I didn't have the nerve to rebel that much, and I learned that I really believe this old idea. I do my best at everythng, or I'm not able to be happy with it.

Constant repetitions can get on your nerves but they do tend to stick with us. I bet you more than live up to it..thanks

It wasn't advice exactly, but in Jr. High I made some kind of a remark to somebody that she didn't appreciate. She made a remark something to the effect that no wonder people didn't like me if I talked like that. Made me think about how I approached people after that.
