psp ?

I just got a psp and was wondering how to downgrade it and upgrade to a custom firmware? Everything I've found says I need the Lumines UMD. Can it be done without it and without frying my psp?

hey, i would just advise you to have it done by a professional as committing a slightest mistake in the process can 'brick' your game. the term means that it will get stuck and won't do anything at all even when you restart the game. well if you want to do it yourself, then visit the following forum, www.pspiso.com they have links to games as well as custom firmwares plus 'popsloaders' and other homebrew softwares that allow you to run PSX and other console games on your psp. good luck and tell me if you found my post of any value.

by the way, once you have the custom firmware, DO visit the above forum for games and every other thing. this is the best forum around :)
