I have always wanted to become a doctor, yet it costs too much to be in medical school. There are a lot of equipments to buy and so many sleepless nights because you go on duty straight for like 36 hours. But, the good thing is.. you get to become famous if you do good and you earn a lot and most important is, you get to save lives.
On the other hand, I also want to be a lawyer and be like the girl in legally blonde. Fashionable and smart. I want to protect people who are oppressed and give justice to those who need it. But the downfall is, you have to defend your client even if he did the wrong thing
These are two great careers.. How about you, IF you were to choose between the two, what would you wanna be?

I'm thinking I would be a lawyer. You don't necessarily have to go to a foreign country to help your client, plus you don't have to worry about getting a disease of some kind.

On days when I am terribly argumentative, the people who suffers will mutter 'Thank god you are not a lawyer."
I never aspired to be a doctor, I still don't think I will be able to become a doctor. It takes a level of compassion I do not have, looking beyond ugly wounds and stuff to treat a patient.
So I guess my choice is a lawyer, but only on days when I am horribly argumentative.

hello glay,
although, I both dont like that profession, i will still answer your question. If it is the only choice, i will choose be a doctor. It helps other people get well, and also your family. Being a lawyer is kinda hard especially if your client is someone guilty and yet you will defend that he is not guilty.
hope you get my point
take care

a doctor no doubt actually i am in to it....
well about the costs.. am n a government scholarship so its not that much for me...
whyi want to become a doc.. well its got lots of facets to the answer
one being satisfaction u get when one of ur patient is cured.....
second being the respect people give you....
third the responsibility of trusting ones life with you....thats the heaviest responsibility you can ever undertake.
and yes of course the money is good, though its not much compared to a lawyer or a solicitor but money with social status and a satisfactory feeling of helping ppl in their lives ..its like icing on a cake.......

I made a choice already. I am a bachelor of laws graduate. So, basically, I wanna be a lawyer. That what my mother said to me. It's actually my mother's choice. Maybe I also like to become a lawyer since I finished the course. Moreover, I think I will never choose to become a doctor as an ambition. The reasons are I hate blood and I can't stand the smell of hospitals.

I would prefer to be a doctor. I am very idealistic the idea of curing and helping people really appeals to me. I am interested in medicine and the connection between the body and the mind. When I was younger I read the books of Bernie Siegel, I loved those books and they inspired me a lot.
A lawyer is also dealing with people, but in a different way, the relationship between a lawyer and his client to too "superficial" for me. Being a doctor would satisfy my passion to work with people, but working as a lawyer wouldn't give me the same kind of deep satisfaction.
