Jason and Jake and Liz- Why won't he just leave the mob and leave PC?

Will Jason completely cut off all ties to Jake and Liz now that he feels he almost killed Jake when he triggered the explosion with the Russians? They kidnapped his son and had Sam not jumped out the window with Jake, he would have died because Jason went in with guns a blazin' like Jason's true style. However, I have never seen him so quiet or remorseful about what he did. Why doesn't Jason just leave the mob and take them with him?

Well with Spinelli's files being hacked (someone was copying all of his files on Friday December 12th while Jason was asking him again if he would consider moving out of the penthouse), I have a feeling that the paternity secret will be out and really soon. Jason and Liz are currently staying apart for Jake's safety,... I am sure they will soon come together for the same reason....'never be together' on a soap usually translates as 'most inevitable'!
