It's very interesting times we live in, applications that we used to install on our local desktops are increasingly finding their way into the cloud. Word processors, spreadsheet and even photo editors, can now be utilized using just your browser. From a personal stand point, the operating system which I use to interact with these applications, is becoming less and less important. Do you think so too?

I'm using Linux Ubuntu.... Yes those applications on the internet are great for a speedy solutions of what you want to have.... But it is limited in options to creativity I still prefer stand alone applications that you can do a lot more that you wanted for....

i don't see how your operating system can not an important factor to consider. not all are the same for example, vista or xp? linux ow windows? and for your info, osx is for apple pc, its a choice of hardware.

Thank you for pointing it out (that OSX is for Apple PC), the reason I included OSX in the choice was because it belongs to the family of UNIX, owing to its BSD heritage, hence the post was focusing more on operating system aspect, not on the hardware choice. But your point is taken.

Well, I dont think the OS become less impotant. Since Im still having bad internet connection so I cant rely on the web application.
