hi cheeky angel. most people wear their watches on the left hand because most people are right-handed. since right-handed people do most things with their right hand wearing their watches on the left hand lowers the chances that the watch accidentally hits something or gets broken when doing a certain activity. also, the knob to adjust the time in watches is always placed on the right side of the watch when worn by people so wearing it in the left-hand makes sens since you can adjust the time without difficulty. hope the explanation is clear. cheers!!!

I never really knew about this as all the people I know wear their wrist wratch on their right side and I am the only one who wears it on the left side. I've never heard of certain standards that require men to wear their wrist watch on one side and woman on another side. I am righthanded but I once took a test that concluded I am actually left handed if the right handed writing etc. hadn't been forced on my in kindergarten. Bizarre... I don't know if it has anything to do with how I wear my watch.

I don't know why, but I have always worn my watch on my left hand. For some reason, it just never felt right on my right arm. Even to this day, I try sometimes to put it on my right arm to see what it feels like, and it just don't seem right to have it there for some reason. I have always thought that it may have something to do with the fact that I am right-handed, but I really don't know...do left-handed people often wear their watches on their right hands? Maybe it has something to do with it making our wrists uncomfortable if we wear it on our hands that we write with?

Really good discussion. It's their wish. People if they want to wear wrist watch in left hand they can or in right hand. But the thing is that if they were right hand common then they will use left hand to wear wrist watch. If they were left handed then they will use right hand for that.

I used to be wearing my watch on my right hand but as I grew older, my habit changes to the left. My reason is that I am usually using my dominant hand (right hand) to do things so it is often occupied. As such, it is troublesome to wear a watch on my right hand when it is always the hand to pick up the load. One bad thing is that my right hand is able to stay away from objects with a given clearance. My left hand however only allocate a small clearance therefore my watch is always hitting onto something leaving scratches on the surface...
