I don't collect stamps myself but your collection sounds impressive. It may be something my little girl could get into perhaps, it seems like a very interesting hobby, good on you.

I started collecting stamps at the age of 11. It all started like this, one of my seniors who had loads and loads of them used to bring it to school and tell us quite a few things about them( this is what most of the hobbyists do, share their knowledge). One day I asked him how to start stamp collecting. He gave me 5 stamps and said, this is how you start. I also made a few visits to the local post office, collected all new releases. I did all these till class 10, after that I stopped collecting stamps, but i still have them in my cupboard and go through them whenever i find time. But I really wish I had continued it, though its not too late to resume!

Ya. At first, i started with few stamps also which gave from my mom. Other that, i got it from the envelop mail, from friends, from relatives and also buy from the pos office at my home town. From few became nowadays thousand was not a easy things. The most important was Think about Future.. Because Stamps may be extinct in future due to Technology Global changes so fast now. Email, Msn and so on... So friends , continue collecting, don't give up. Because i believe it will bring surprise to you in future.

Yes, I have collected some stamps when I stayed in college when computer and mobile are not popular. We contacted with each other by letters and I often asked my classmates for their stamps. Most are not series and so there is no value. I just have a look sometimes.

I see. Very interesting. Ya. The stamps will have high market value when they are unique that mean the stamps were difficult to be fought. So if u got fought the stamps that were unique, keep it, because it will have high market value in future.

Earlier, I liked collecting stamps, but not now. But now, it appears childish to me. Collecting stamps is for children and not for adults.
Since I am a full grown-up, I would not even dream of collecting stamps.

Thanks for your sharing. Different people have different views on the collecting stamps. In my view, i think collecting stamps not only for children, it also suitable for adults. Seems collecting stamps are not a sporty things that will limit the adults to do it. So I think for those adults who love collecting stamps still can continue as their hobby.
Anyways, welcome and thanks for sharing. (^_^)
