I have to say I didn't really understand the question details, primarily because you inappropriately capitalized each word and then had to triplicate your question marks for some reason. I really can't wrap my head around reading all of that, so I'll instead focus just upon the question itself.
I prefer to use Media Player Classic over Windows Media Player. MPC can play a lot more file types than WMP with little issues. I still use WMP for playlists on occasion, but the program annoys me for numerous reasons. On one hand, the problem looks extremely ugly and obtrusive in full mode. Another problem is the program inappropriately tries to sync up with my SD card if it's playing and I plug in the card. This puts WMP into full mode, and if I'm watching a video it changes away from the viewing mode as well. I don't need a program trying to place files onto my devices without my permission, primarily as this is my computer, and not WMP's. It's very frustrating when you just want to plug and play your SD card.

No. I don't like windows media player. As what you've said, many windows user hates the features from windows. I used winamp instead of windows media player because winamp is easier to use and more flexible. I can even download the free skin for winamp in many places.

Winamp in one of various alternatives to Windows Media Player. It is a little bit lighter (it doesn't spend so many resources while playing) and it become famous because of the community made skins (which mean that in the remote chance that you don't like one of the thousands skins available, you can always create your own) and the fact that it is very flexible and if you spend some time configurating it, you will eventually have exactly what you want.
It's developed by the Nullsoft Team, and there is a free and a Pro version. Go for it @http://www.winamp.com/player.

Have you ever heard that old saying? - "If it ain't broken, don't fix it" - in other words, if it works good for you with no problems, then you are lucky! Why change - if it makes you happy you do what's best for you! Happy holidays & happy listening!

I use Media Player Classic. Although newer versions of WMP offer so much style, it doesn't appeal to me much.
VLC and Media Player Classic are the best ones out there, and the best thing is - THEY'RE FREE!

I still use windows media player but I think it is because it came preloaded with the operating system.Sometimes I find it very limiting as it cant open some music and video formats.i think I am using windows media player 10 and I am thinking of upgrading as soon as the opportunity arises.

I don't use windows media player anymore. I prefer VLC player since it plays most of the different extensions without any problem like windows media player.

I still use media player because It does crash my computer or take a long time to load like Itunes. And it is easy for me to watch movies.

I still use WMP but I am certainly open to suggestions if there is better out there and from the responses it appears that there is! I don't have a problem with Windows Media Player though.

I really like windows player, actually. I have the latest version of it and it's awesome. I use it for the music only though, I watch my movies on real player since its' latest version has as good avi quality as the windows player, plus got all the codecs I need. Windows Media Player is my second favourite after real player ^w^

hi, when i got my new laptop with Vista, windows media player 11 was already installed on it.
it has a lot of new features and a good design too.
but francly, i've stopped using since i got , an optimised player for each kind of files. i use VLC player for videos ( AVI , DVD,MPEG...)
i'm using real player only for real extensions files like RM
and for playing music , i was using winamp , it's efficient and good featured.
but recently, i've found a cute player called Zune, perfectly modern designed, and very special.
and i was surprised when i discover during its installation that it's a Microsoft product.despite that i really like it , and i'm still using it.

hey actually windows media player is good but in sound system when compares to media classic player its worst.i think for videos media classic player so good and for audio files i prefer winamp its really cool on audio files.but players are not depend on OS because now a days we are using linux all know it has became popular in less time.In linux also they are players of nice sound clarity....
