Do you like living in a flat or a house?

I lived almost all my life in a flat. During summer holiday I used to go to my grandparents. They live in the village and have a house. I felt in love with that. I've always dreamed to live in a house ever since. What do you prefer? A flat or a house? Why?

Dear friend, If the place is much secure and if the people are much friendly I would opt for a house that gives a bit privacy and in cities I would like to live in a flat. Moslty I would like to stay in villas. If the people in the building are friendly I would like to be in flats. But mostly I prefer villas.

So basically, it's better to live in a house but not in a city. Thanks for sharing :)

I am presently living in a house provided by my employer and is a flat and i am staying in this type of house for long. I also like to live in flats. I think it is better to live in flats as the maintenance, security, common lighting, water supply etc. are borne by a committee and the owner has not to bother personally. Moreover if one has to leave his family alone or if the house remains vacant for long regularly there is less danger of theft than own house.

I agree, living in a flat has it's ups and downs. What do you do when you have terrible neighbors who are listening to loud music all night long? Or neighbors who throw things out their window?

I like to live in a house much more. As it seems bigger. I like big house. As to the flat, the neighbors live nearby you and sometimes you will have a headache when they make a noise. I love China

Hello Youless. You're from China? Wow, I've had a crush on China since I was a little girl. Yes, it's true, in a flat neighbors are not always nice and sometimes they can drive you crazy! Thank you for your response. Have a nice day in China :)

Currently I am living in an apartment with my husband which we bought and moved in after we got married. I am fine with it as there's only the two of us for now. In future when we have kids, then the place would be too small for us. My husband loves a house as he hates paying maintainance money to the management every month. So it's his dream to get a house in the near future...for me, I am fine as long the place we are staying is owned by us and not rented is fine. Why I say this because I had been renting only a small room for 7 years and now even owning an apartment together with my husband is something to be thankful for me.

Haha, I know what you mean! But you need a beach, some trees and an ocean near by to make a perfect image :)
