i would say that it is lebron james. king james is the sole force of the cleveland cavaliers. other teams have back-ups and partners to power their team. but king james has basically none of that sort. the celtics have the big three. the lakers have bryant, gasol and odom. but for cleveland cavaliers, take out james, then the cavaliers will never be the same again.

I agree. James is valuable to his team. Cleveland is managed by that dunce Danny Ferry. Lousy player and gm. His only claim to fame was his stint at Duke. He only has Mo Williams there.

no love for Chris Paul..cmon man..he had a streak of triple doubles to start the season..he's making his teammates better and he is fearless and competitive..and he is still in his fourth season..

I will say it's Lebron James.. He's a young rising star and though he's still learning now, but in terms of skills and vision, he's not much on the disadvantage as compared to kobe bryant.. Kobe is lucky in the sense because when he first started out, he had Shaq to guide him along, and thus he's able to stand where he is today..
Thus, i still think Lebron James is the best NBA player today, and also in the future.

i think it is lebron james. he is a giant. big and strong and his moves and dunks are a joy to watch. kobe belongs to the softer touch compared to james but both are great player.

it's lebron james now.. look at the cavs record and their lineup. without lebron, cavs would be down by 10 points against the worst team at the west.. he's a very great team player, great scorer, and a young leader.. he's magic johnson and michael jordan in 1..

Yep right now I would have to say it is Kobe Bryant. He just carried his team to back to back championships and now they are gunning for a threepeat. He has the whole package when it comes down to basketball.
