Who deserves to be the captain of the flying dutchman?

I think Davy Jones deserves to be the captain. He is very precise and efficient. Its too bad he is tormented.

People would rather have some one like Jack sparrow as captain because people are trained to love protagonists. They do not realize that Davy isn't really an evil being. He is just tormented.
