I think going to school is still important, you can hardly compare the experience(lfe experience) you get at school with that you get online, and you know there still exist this sort of discrimination against certificates or degrees earned online,so one would be better off attending a physical school.

What is theory without practice and what is practice without theory? Yes, I do agree with you that education by going to school is such an important part of our lives even in this modern time. If we look around us the people we consider learned are still the ones with the best education at hand.
Thanks for your response.

I think that although you can learn pretty much anything and everything online I still prefer going into a school. I'm not the most motivated person and so being in a learning location is more likely to influence me to study. Also if you don't understand something its much easier to talk it through with someone instead of writing millions of emails to and from your online tutor.

Formal schooling never went out of style even if we learn a lot of things online. Teachers in schools will see to it that we are motivated to learn. Motivation is one important thing we can't have from others in getting online. If there is, it is called self-mtivation. It is also a nice thing that we can ask questions just about anything to them. Thanks for the comment.;-)

We've had access to books for centuries and we still need to do more than read our textbooks. We need a teacher to talk us through things. To weed through the information to what is pertinent.
I can see having online classes. I know many Universities do this. But just doing our own "research" online is time consuming and confusing. There is so much BAD info out there.
With children, school is so much more than just information. It is learning responsibility, citizenship, behavior, respect for authority, interaction with others, sharing ideas, asking questions, etc.
School will be here!
We could ask the same for parenting, relationships, etc. And I'd still say that the internet is a poor substitute for real interaction with flesh and blood people!

It's a good thing a lot of books are hard bound so we can preserve it for school use. Yes, I do agree how important school would be even today. I do get confused with researching online, some of my teachers don't even like some students that because with too many answers in one question it is just too far confusong and misleading to students. Then when students bring the wrong answer to the class there would be more mistakes to correct.
Developing social skills can always more often than not found in school than online.

Having a certificate is the best thing ever! It is a proof of your sweat and labor. Good chances are in sight to those who dare step in the institution we call school. It is important to inspire our children to always go to school diligently. There is always learning in interaction with real people of all sorts of personality.
