Last night I only got 2-3 hours of sleep and then I had to be up at 6 just to get my butt in gear for work. On that amount of sleep i can barly function never mind yet doing anything it feels like its such a chore when it really isn't. So, because of that, I was just wondering on how many hours of sleep that other people need just so they can function?

I sleep between 7 and 8 hours every night. I usually go to bed at 10pm. I watch alittle tv and then drift off to sleep/ I have to be up at 6:30 every morning. When I'm really tired I will just go to bed earlier that night.

I need approximately 8 hours of sleep. But during times when time is really unforgiving, i can still sleep for only a mere 2 hours, but with the condition that i would need my cup of coffee when i wake up.

I need only 5-6 hours of sleep. If i sleep more than 7 hours i will get back pain. so i used to go to bed around 1 o' clock and get up at 6.30. Actually the amount of sleep requires changes from person to person. It was known that our first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru slept only 4 hours. He used to go to bed at 12 o' clock and get up as early as 4 o' clock.
