I had almost decided to pass this discussion without comment because the writer only gave two choices and I would choose neither. Then I decided that he might be interested in my reason for not wanting either one.
I would not choose fame because if you are famous you're entire life is put under a microscope. Everybody would be closely watching every move you make and every word you say. You don't have any privacy.
As far as fortune is concerned, if you are rich you are almost always in the same situation as the one who is famous. You are constantly watched and everybody wants to be your friend because they think they will get something from you.
So I just want to be liked by the people that are close to me and have enough money to take care of my needs without having to worry about my next meal.

I am not sure if I would like to be famous. On one hand I hope to get succes with my art and my writing, on the other hand I don't like to be the canter of attention, so I don't know how I would react if it actually happened. I think I would like it and dislike it at the same time. But I am pretty sure that I would like to earn a lot

I don't particularly like attention, so I wouldn't choose fame. I'd rather be wealthy enough to do what I want when I want and not have to worry about how I'm going to pay for things.
