While deleting files may seem like your computer is running faster, After the deletes I'd suggest a defrag as that may help as well. I've used ccleaner in the past but you have to be careful about what you select for it to delete. It goes deep and even removes registry settings and once deleted they are gone for good. The windows clean up can be a safe way to remove old files. Also vista has built in defragger that runs at a certain time. Want speed? get more memory

Well deleting files usually won't "speed up" your computer.
Plus if your not careful with CCleaner you could delete files you needed.
Just warrning people that what you say will happen may not work for everyone.
So if I run CCleaner on my POS 256mb p2 computer it will run faster? Nah it will still be a POS

hey, thanks for this tip.
I've long seen ccleaner in filehippo.com. I've just keep on ignoring it form the list. Never really knew what it was supposed to do. And I was afraid to try it out in fear of causing "accidents" like a hard disk wipe out or something like that.
I got to try this out now.
