Abcessed anal gland??

Have any of your cats ever had this? Is this something that will go away on it's own? I'm sure that's what my cat has. I've been trying to call the vet, but the phone's busy. Today's the only day I could take her in until next Friday. The chances of me being able to get an appointment for today are slim to none, but I'm still gonna try. Any experience with this?
