If I was honest, I'm more afraid of success than failure. I'm not entirely sure why, but there you go. Over to you. Success? Failure? Which one scares you more? Or maybe you're not afraid of either. In any case, do share.

I am afraid of failure: because it takes away my breath, my strengths and my beliefs that I can do something. I simply give up after a failure and do not try to do the same thing or do not continue living the same way. I am afraid of success: because it makes me less careful from the dangers. Because when I am too much into a success, my relationships start to damage, I become arrogant, and so on. And after these change come a FALL down. And then it is so hard to open eyes and accept that the old life came and no more unbelievable successes, but again: hard work and lots of efforts. So it is normal to be afraid from BOTH, i think. The first one takes away BELIEF and STRENGTHS, the second put PINK color GLASSES on Your eyes and makes your carefree. Non of it is good for a man.

Im afraid of both! It would be a good thing for everybody to achieve success, and I would love to be successful someday. But one thing that im afraid of success, is failure. And everybody is afraid to be a failure, thats for sure! But one should not lose hope and should not stop trying, just because he/she has failed many times. Easy to say, but hard to do. Especially for those who have expect so much, but failed, they have hard time accepting the failure. But one good thing of those failures in life? They teach you to be better the next time you try.

Poisonivez, Thank you for your response. I read somewhere that failure isn't really failure, but a successful life lesson (if you choose to learn from it) - and that the worst type of failure is in not trying. And, yes, they often do teach you to avoid the pitfalls next time round - and it does toughen your skin a bit more. take care...wiching you success in '09.

Hi daijean11!! Thanks for your response. I don't think I'm the only one afraid of success, you know, but I can totally understand why some people are scared of failure. I'm quite quirky but I don't think that necessarily has anything to do with why Im afraid of success. take care...

oh, no, don't be offended with what i said..yeah, being quirky has nothing to do why you're afraid with success.. weird for me has a good impression..it's more like unique!..i'm even a fan of people that are almost 90% different than others..i really think that being different/unique is cool..so don't be offended..^.^(peace)
