If you could have one room in your house what would you do with it

Last night I overheard my youngest child ask her older sister if they could share a room. I knew of course that this was an impossibility due to the form of autism my youngest child has. I did however allow my mind just a few fleeting moments of going to place where dreams do come true! My mind took me through a space that was in muted tones of greens and yellows. I could hear a water fountain! The best part however was the shelves full of organization for all my crafting supplies! I could hear soothing nature sounds playing in the background. The next space my mind let me travel to was a room full of funky colors and all sorts of quirky things such as lighted flamingos and the crazy frogs! In the background I could hear 80's music blasting! I kept thinking now this is a happy place. Both places were to the extreme of each other but BOTH of them made me happy! The next place my mind took me to was reality! My youngest was crying her heart out and my oldest was saying something like "No way! I need my space". I could only hope that this place was also a place my mind took me. I was quickly reminded that NO way girl you better wake you are in reality now! I enjoyed my little trip even if it was a short one! If I had a room all my own - I would love to have a space for crafting, a space for reading, a space for my wonderful computer time, and most importantly a space just to be me and play whatever music my heart feels at the moment! So here is my question to you - If you could have one room in your home to do with what you wanted to for you - what would you do?

Hide the bodies. Just kidding.... I need a guest room. But for a personal room? Library, office and reading room where nobody else dares to enter!

Honestly, I would make it into a playroom for my daughter... as of right now, she is an only child - needless to say, a little spoiled. Come Christmas time, I will have to rid her room of tons of toys just to fit the new ones! So yeah, that is what I would do

Well I suppose that is a way of doing something for yourself since it would help keep toys out of the other parts of the house! ALL moms know that could be a good thing! HEE HEE ((HUGS)) Momma B

Hi Momma_B! I would make it into an arts and crafts room. I would set up an area where I could paint and an area where I could do other things too. Like things with my children..maybe a table with a lot of storage bins underneath with supplies. I think it would be a good place to do school projects too. Take care.

I'm actually lucky and have this. We have an extra bedroom that is a combined homeschool/ craft room. I use to want two separate rooms for this, but since I have been using it over the last year, I know I would want to keep these two rooms combined. I use so many of my craft things (stickers, die cuts, paper trimmer, ect.) in our homeschool, that it is just handy to have it combined. It has become a fun room that has a large project table in the middle that my little one can work with me at and I can do my scrapbooking at.

That sounds like it works out really well for you. It sounds like you really make homeschooling fun! Sounds like a really cool room! ((HUGS)) Momma B
