I just finished installing Linux 8.10.
I can't get it to pick up wireless connections...this is a very important factor that is a must need with me. Can someone help please?

Not sure which version of Linux you are using, but when I was installing Puppy Linux on my wife's Laptop, it was also not picking up the Wi-Fi card or connecting.
After a delve on the Forums, I found out that I could install the Windows Driver under ndiswrapper (I think that's what it's called), and it worked straight away.
I beleive on the newer Kernel, on the latest Puppy Linux 4.1, Mandriva 2009 and Unbutu, It should pick it up easier.
If you continue to have a problem, I suggest that you visit the Forum for that distribution, I think that all distros have their own one, and you will normally find some techie, who can give specific instructions, and before long it will be up and running.
Good Luck, and let us know how you get on.

i just got done talking to a techie and they say that I need to go to the restricted drivers in the admin section. I am not seeing a listing for restricted drivers.
