Have you got your christmas tree and decorations up yet?

Was walking home after work and saw most of the people in houses nearby have their christmas tree and decorations up... and so do all the shopping centers and most public places.
I haven't put mine up yet because we will be moving house soon, before christmas so we'll do it all in our new home. We have a small artificial tree (unlike the one in the pic of course..) with decorations and lights and it will be one of the first few boxes we unpack probably...
How many myLotters have their christmas trees and decorations up already? When did you put them up? Do you have an artificial or natural tree? A small or big tree? Decorations and lights?:)

We just purchased our tree yesterday. I've been looking at decorations for a while trying to decide on style and color skeme off and on for a while now. We've been even debating about real or fake until yesterday.
So, about 2days ago we finally decided on red and gold, sophisticated. It's our first Christmas for our new family and we want to slowly gather our personalized ornaments so that they really mean something to us, hence the generic yet very pretty tree... Anywho.
We made our purchases yesterday. Got the ornaments, got the REAL tree (and am very happy we did, I was against it but quickly changed my mind after I smelt them... guess nastalgia trumps cleanliness hehehe) Got the light, right? Well, not enough lights...which brings me to my answer.
Our tree is only half up! All excited like a prom queen without a date. We didn't buy enough lights, hahaha. THat's new parents for you. SO my very perfect tree is standing in the corner, very straight and gorgeous with one strand of light, and three lowly ornaments!
As we speak I am awaiting hubby to return home with 2 more boxes of lights. In a few hours our tree will officially be up and decorated, COMPLETELY!
Merry Christmas!

We typically put up our Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving here but this year we were late and just got it up a few days ago. It's beautiful with a lot of lights and ornaments with sentimental value. The only thing is that everything is half way up the tree or higher. Our 3 year old love pulling the ornaments off if he can reach them...lol

Haha! thinking back to when my now four year old was at that stage, we had to hide the leads for the lights behind loads of stuff to stop her tagging at them..

I got a artificial one. I have not had a tree in over 4 years I got this one last year. and years before that I had a real one twice. But I couldn't afford a tree back then or a fake one. So we put dec. on a candle holder and you know what that was some of the best times we ever had. My son and I. We would sit with candles a blazing and it got warm as we had like 15 candled burning on christmas. But yes mine is up and looking really good as we have all the dsc.we have bought each year on it. we each get one a year. If the price is high then we only get one. Like this year we got only one as my son wanted the same one as me. A bell. Have a wonderful Christmas Your friend onlydia

As early as after the All Soul's and All Saint's Day, I already decorated our house with Christmas decorations and of course the Christmas tree. Ours is just the artificial one, not so big but at least we felt the spirit of Christmas already because of those. Eversince before, I always make it a point that every Christmas, we have our Christmas tree and decorations because I wanted my children to enjoy the season.
I hope you can do all your decorations now so that you guys can still catch up with the season. It's 23 days more, Merry Christmas to you and your family! From us here in the Philippines!

I don't put up any decorations nor do I have a tree, I haven't done it in years, christmas is just another day for me, like any other. I may go out for Christmas dinner or I cook if I am not sick, but that is it. I always spend it with my boyfriend who always buys me a gift even though he is jewish cause he loves me.

We put ours up the Monday after Thanksgiving. We have an artificial tree. It's about 6 ft. I think. The only other decorations we have are some stockings I've made for everyone, a wreath on the wall and a big red bow and lighted star on the front door.

I don't have a Christmas tree in my apartment. I actually never had one for my whole 18 years of life! My parents never bought one.. until last year they found this really nice artificial tree AFTER Christmas for only 5 dollars. AND it came with nice decorations and lights! So I'm excited to see that tree when I go home for winter break from college. :)

Noooo! I haven't had a Christmas tree in a long time and I love Christmas trees. I have lots of ornaments and lites. We live in a tiny studio and would literally have to hang a large tree from the ceiling. I usually will put a bowl of ornaments out along with some door handle , candles, snow globes and string some lights. Every year I go to Cost Plus and buy some neat ornaments at their sale, then store them away. This year I might buy a Charlie Brown tree for the top of the tv.

Yes we do! WE have a 2 foot plastic tree sitting on top of our tv cabinet. Last year we had a 6 foot fake tree. My cat was 4 months old at the time and kept climbing up it and knocking it down. It got to the point where we'd put the tree up and he'd knock it over, we'd put it back up and then 5 minutes later he'd knock it down. Eventually my mom gave up and took it down. Thats why we have a small tree up so high this year.
My cat is an idiot. He actually broke ordaments last year and tried to eat the broken glass!
The little tree has lights on it and a few ordaments.

Yes, I have my tree and decorations up, I put my tree up last week (11th), but I didn't get my decorations up till last night, I only got out a few this year, I usually decorate the whole house inside, but I found that when it comes time to take it all down, I don't feel like it, so this time I won't have to work so hard taking it all down..lol. My tree isn't really big or small, its about medium, its a 6.5 ft. pre-lit tree, I like it, its easy to put up and take down, I'm all about making things easy on myself, since I'm the only one who does anything...haha.

Christmas is also very popular in our country ___China now. We were touched by the hot atmosphere of Christmas in Europe. But we never have a christmas tree every house, we always see it in stores, malls and stuff.

It is popular here too and people love to shop and give gifts round that time and think the true meaning is almost forgotten by some..
I prefer to be with family at the time regardless of the presents, we do have a tree and decorations at home too but it's more the thoughts that count..
A Merry Christmas to you and Happy New Year
