Do you get a bonus at work for Christmas? This is my first year working for this company and the owner gave everyone a $100 bonus and a $35 gift certificate to Heavenly Ham. It's so generous! There's over 50 people who work here. And for Thanksgiving he gave everyone a $25 giftcard to a local grocery store, Giant.

I once worked for a company that gave each employee a gift certificate for $25.00.
I am currently unemployed, but the company that I worked for would give each employee one paycheck. We had a bi weekly payroll, so the bonus would actually be two weeks work. I always looked forward to that, I could really use it now that I am unemployed. The way the economy is, I am wondering will there be many company bonuses this year.

I work for the postal service, and I have noticed that they have not given out a cash award for outstanding work performance in a few years now. They used to give out free movie passes and Target gift cards also. But with the steady fall in the economy, many companies are cutting back on bonuses and gifts. The postal service especially has seen a serious drop in mail volume over the years, and it is no surprise that they have cut back on the rewards. I wouldn't be surprised if your company didn't stop giving out bonuses in the future
