It was a great snow! None of the slushy stuff you usually see. This snow was fluffly and powdery and with huge flakes. I took great pictures which I would love to share though I would have to start a new discussion of my own since I am still new and am still under 100 posts let alone being anywhere near the required 500 to add photos to someone else's discussion. Today is Mardi Gras and I will be adding photos for that later. I have seen snow in New Orleans about five times in my lifetime. It usually is only a couple inches and usually only lasts a short time. This past December it was almost over by the time I opened the door to go out and realized there was snow falling. This was a good thing since I had to cancel an appointment and would have been messed up for the entire day if the preciptation hadn't turned to rain a short while later. I did get some good photos though. Some of the snow even survived the rain and hung on for a few hours. It's always nice to look at when you don't have to be out in it or when it isn't enough to shut things down. No one hear has snow tires or anything like that.
