Are you a happy person?

I think it's actually not luck that makes some people happy and others not. It really depends on how a person can handle things.
For example, I think it's possible for someone who does nothing but do drugs all day long to be happy. If he or she has enough money to have a constant stream of drugs, whether he or she gets that money by stealing or selling things, as long as he or she can get his or her high, they can be happy that way. When he or she comes down, they may or may not realize that there is more to life. If the drug addict does not see that, he or she can be in fact happy out of ignorance that there is something better than getting high.
But, if the drug addict does realize that he or she is not doing anything with his or her life, and is not making their family proud, and disappointed his or her friends and family, he or she will not be happy.
I think it's possible for anyone in any situation to be happy, because I don't think happiness has anything to do with their situation. We all have problems and things to be unhappy about, but some people have more than others. You have to balance out making yourself happy and other people happy. The real key to happiness is knowing that you can make a change if you want to.
I think I'm generally happy, though I live a different life than most people and I believe that I think differently. I don't have a lot of friends, but I am generally happy with who I have, because having a lot of friends wouldn't necessarily make me happier. Plus, I like to have privacy, I don't need to be tracked down by people all the time.

I am generally a happy person I look at the brighter side of things when at all possible. We all have our times when we are not happy whether it's we feel we don't fit in or nothing is going right but just remember one thing you are a unique person. There is only one you and and that makes it special so to be happy about that is something to look forward to I know it does for me.

Yes I am a happy person as I have realized that it is a state of mind and situations come and go, nothing stays for ever so if a person depends on situations for happiness then that is a wrong notion. Another thing is that if you search happiness from outside then those things are momentary, for long lasting happiness I feel one has to remove his desire list for which we keep on running and time passes out. Whatever we have we should enjoy it.

I think i'm happy for the most part.... like you said, everyone has problems and things that they are unhappy about.. i also think it's a matter of how you handle things. you can be happy if you want to be.. it sometimes might not seem like it because you are so unhappy.. but really, i've learned that no matter how unhappy or depressed i am.. if i really want to feel that "happiness" again i can.. simply by changing the way i think.. if i think unhappy things then i will be unhappy.. if i think happy things then i will most likely be more happier.
I don't have a lot of friends either and that gets to me because i never have anyone to do anything with.. and well, life can be very boring when your ALWAYS alone.
I like my privacy too and i like time to myself... but i also want to spend time with others. it is all about balance in order to be happy...but everyone is different.
so how one person balances their life out to be happy, probably won't work for the next person.. its something you have to figure out on your own.. because no one else can tell you how to make YOURSELF happy... and it took me a while to learn that..
i used to always try and find my happiness in other people... in the end all that did was make me unhappy.

Yes I do not really bother with friends. I love to be by myself most of the time when everyone is out. Infact I think I am happier by myself. Even when I am working in and around my home I hate people looking over me.
Life just throws a lot of things at us and I guess it either makes us happy or sad sometimes. I suppose I am more happier than sad, though I do cry over stupid things these days but overall I am happy.

I can say that I am a happy person. There are many things that makes me happy. First is my family. We are still complete. I have my only son who never fails to brighten my day. I have a lots of friends too who support me through thick and thin. Secondly, I am also thankful of the talents that God gave me. I am thankful that he made me this way as I've become successful because of my talents and lastly, for being alive. For being able to wake up each day with hope and a smile on my face.

I am generally a happy person. People who know me seem to have it stuck in their heads that I'm always happy and smiling.... Really, I have my ups and downs just like everybody else, but I can usually find the good in a situation. I try to look on the positive rather than negative side of everything. Life is too short to be depressed, sad, and pissed off all of the time.

I used to be a happy person but when hard times came, I just smile and make everyone see that I'm happy but deep inside i'm not. I'm unhappy because of what other people are doing to me and it affects me a lot. Some people treats me nicely, but most of them are untrue. My father once said that happiness can only be acquired through contentment but how can I be contented with the plastic people around me?

I believe that you are right. Happiness is a choice and when we wake up in the morning and chose to be happy then we will be. It is all our perception on what we are doing. I wish everyone could understand these concepts it might help alot of pain in the world.

I can say that i'm not 100% happy person.. as i easily get affected with problems that come my way.. just like now, i feel very stressed.. i have some issues with my family.. plus, i have a health problem that doesn't permit me to do things that i've used to do before..

I am the eternal optimist. No matter how bad things have been,I've managed to pick out the good. I get the blues like anyone else but they usually last no longer than a day. I don't think I would have made it if I hadn't been an optimist. My happiness is inside me and really has nothing to do with the things around me...that's not to say they don't affect me..it's just they are not reasons for my happiness.

Yes I am, in general, a happy person. Lots of things peeve me off but I try not to let it get to me too much.
People can be happy in any situation. It all depends on the mind-set. For example, I spend a lot of time around people, my friends, children etc but what makes me happiest is when I can have time alone. I'm able to recharge my batteries (so to speak) and to think more clearly. Don't get me wrong, I'm an outgoing person and do love being around others but I still love my time alone.

Being alive is when we face to different kinds of feelings. Sometimes, we are happy, gloomy, furious, bored and sad.
Be happy or adopt any emotion you want... You control your own life, not others.

happiness is a state of mind, not a passing mood.appreciation of the little things in life allows one to be happy.this rings true for many people:our values and goals are skewed and our motivations misdirected. Getting what we think we want only leaves us wanting more - it's a never-ending cycle that ultimately ends in loneliness.only when we are honest with ourselves, what we want and what we get out of situations can we start to make the steps toward true lasting happiness

Yes I am. I like laughing and making people laugh. It serves a therapy especially in this world full of insanity. I always wanted to be happy. Even life is hard for me. And I try to make others, too.

I am very, very happy. Every now and then one of my four children worries me a bit if they're unhappy about something in their lives - but apart from that, I don't have anything to be unhappy about. I'm pretty much near the end of my life, have all the material things I could want, a lovely husband, a huge pile of books and I don't have to go out to work! I love my own company and I'm old enough that I don't give a hoot in hell what anyone else thinks of me - I can wear what I like, wander around town in slippers and dressing gown and don't have any need whatsoever to impress anyone or keep up with them. Life's brilliant!
