the arroyo government and its allies are again moving to change the constitution. they say it is not for the extension of terms, but for some economic provisions to make the country more competitive. do you believe this crap? do the government and its allies have to be trusted on this? say your thoughts and views here.

why is the government so eager to change the constitution, why not give all the filipinos a chance to understand what change of constitution will do to our country. only a few filipinos now about the constitution, those from slum area, from the provinces who were not able to have a degree don't understand all these. why not give the decision to our kababayans. i think this cha cha is only for the personal interests of the president and her allies, to extend her term not for the benefit of our people.

thats what sen. chiz and the rest of the opposition senators are telling the Arroyo government. Sen Chiz and his colleagues would like the Filipino Nation fully understand the purpose of the Constitutional Change, they want to have a copy of the constitution written in Filipino so that those kababayan of ours from slum area and provinces will understand what is written in the constitution specially those specified by the senators.

that should be implemented right away because the presidential election will be on 2010 that will be the best time to give the floor to our people to choose whether to have cha cha or stick with our existing form of constitution.

no rallies ever successful of ousting her? but she was on the verge of being ousted in 2005 when she declared a state of emergency and banned rallies. i think cha-cha is not the direction we should take. it will only divide the country and benefit people that we should not trust because they are never trustworthy.

I dont think that the Arroyo government has GOOD INTENTION in pushing this CHA-CHA.
If PGMA has concern with the Filipino people she will not push this. Am just wondering why her two sons Miggy and Mickey are the ones making the OPEN SECRET votation for this CHA-CHA?
I believe that the rally to held at Makati today will serve as a wake up call to the Arroyo government and her allies. They should listen to the masses or else we will be like Thailand.

there is no question whether GMA has good intentions on cha-cha because there is none. she will benefit from any cha-cha that her allies will do in congress. that is why she is mum about the issue. how can a leader of the country be silent when the whole country is agog about it?
