dhoni can be better than gilchirst

we indians are so obsessed with records despite the paper tigers disappointing us time and again.there are many other factors while judging a performance.state of pitch,class of opposition,the match situation in which one is performing etc.due to the commercialisation of cricket and to respect the comapnies who buy tv rights,matches are played on placid wickets nowadays.dhoni is not so old in test cricket,i am from dhoni's hometown and i am more proud of him than many others,but as a wicket keeper dhoni lags way behind gilchrist and as a batsman,a little behind.dhoni's plus point is his mental strength and down to earth attitude.

Difficult to say. As far as catches go, It will be difficult because the pace battery of Australia provided many catching opportunities to Gilly. Even in batting, because of the strength of the team, gilchrist could freely play his natural game. Dhoni certainly has a good chance at breaking Gilchrist's batting record as he is a much better batsman than Gilly.
