Hello MyLot-ers! I am in desperate need of some new reading material and wondered if any of you could recommend some good titles for me. My favourite novels so far are; Knowledge of Angels Atonement The Kite Runner His Dark Materials Trilogy Harry Potter Anything by Jodi Picoult I want something engaging and thought provoking (not a trashy novel about a secretary who falls in love with her boss etc etc!!). I enjoy books with meaning but don't want to be preached to. I hope you can help me out!!! Hamster x

Hi. Like you, I enjoyed reading books. It is my past time and it became my hobby. As a wise reader, I understand that you don't want to waste your time in reading some books in which at the end you'll regret why did you read such because it doesn't suites your interests.Like me,whenever I am deciding to buy a new book I just see to it that like the book and I always read some revies of that book before buying such so that I will no only be wasting my money but my time in reading that book. Well I hope, you can atleast read even one book that I will recommend you. If you love cooking check Like water for chocolate by Laura Esquivel. It's a love story with a twist. After rading this book I got so hungry.Otherwise try to read Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Howthorne,The heart is a lonely hunter by Carson Mccullers,My Antonia by Willa Cather if you want to read some serious stuffs. You can also try Taming of the shrew by William Shakespeare or Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.Check for this two epics from Indian Literature: Ramayana and Mahabarta. If you are really a good reader you will appreciate such. Well I have lots of books that can recommend you but then checkk out for those first.Enjoy reading. Happy mylotting.
