I love them both, though LOTR is definitely the more mature and rich of the two. LOTR is literature. HP? Fun fiction. But, don't let the literature designation scare you. LOTR is a great read (once you get into it). And, LOTR has Shadowfax, which trumps any critter in HP.

lord of the ring - this image is from lords of the ring.
both. both have diff character diff story and diff end so i like to watch both but more i prefer to harry potter.

Lord of the ring is the best, i show it 3 times all its 3 parts, its graphics are ultimate, its amaizing natural scenario. I love its creativity very much, and i prefer to watch if u dont.
