Have you got your incentive from the Ciao Premium fund yet?

Yes, another Ciao discussion!:-D
I had about $3.01 yesterday and when I checked this morning I have $5.25, looks like I made payout overnight without writing any reviews for past three days and I have written only five reviews so far this month
Checked the detailed summary of earnings and looks like they have credited $2 from the November premium fund...
12/31/2008 Premium Fund - November 2008 200 0.01 $ 0.00 $ 2.00
I have been writing reviews on Dooyoo on products I've had a good experience with and I submit these (with the correct attributions of course) to Ciao too so wasn't even expecting to get anything for them or make payout either
Have you got your incentive from the Premium fund at Ciao yet? Are you still writing reviews on the site? Is the new system working for you? Have you made payout since the new changes?
OR Have you stopped writing reviews on the site altogether? I think if you write good reviews, you will get ratings for them (It is a site violation to ask people to read and rate your reviews and I always ignore such requests..)
Maybe who knows..you may get into the premium fund? so I do not think the new changes are all that bad, I didn't write many reviews with the old pay per review either so I am not complaining I suppose... What do you think?

Hi, marina321,
I love your name and your avatar image, they are both beautiful.
Does Ciao so easy to earn, I have a ciao account, but never used it. coz I feel so busy to deal with mylot, i just have no time to pay more attention to ciao. Which is more interesting? Mylot or Ciao?

Thanks Janet Ciao was easy to earn previously as they used to pay $1 per review, then this was reduced to $0.25 per review; now with recent changes, you earn for ratings on your reviews and from the premium fund which consists of the best 800 reviews each month and a first and second prize..
I find myLot more interesting as there's a variety of discussions but I use both sites occassionally as I use other free sites too and do this as a hobby in my sparetime at work or home

happy to hear that from you. I hope I would also received that premium funds. how many exceptional ratings did you received before receiving the premium funds. I tried to make quality reviews today, but I only received "very helpful". I think I will only earn through ratings. It is really sad.

To be honest, I do not know the details about exceptional ratings although I have seen that in another discussion..
I have few ratings on most of my reviews actually and most are 'helpful', a few 'very helpful' and I have no idea which review they considered...

I'm not really sure how the Premium funds were calculated and are based upon but I am sure that it is not only based on the number of exceptional ratings you have had. And the Premium fund payment this month is still from last month's (November) reviews and not this month. Try checking your account balance and it should be at the bottom of the paying scale.

Hello marina321 First I congratulate you for getting $2 from ciao.com. It is true that honest and quality writing can earn money from ciao.. Though I have active on the site but to some extent I am lethergic to know their recent change of payment policy. I am writing review but quantity is less. Still it is a good site. But we can not say about the future. It is not a complaint but it is general feeling of members.

I know what you mean, the $1 and $0.25 per review were obviously unsustainable promotions and I think most users that were doing it just for the money they earned will not enjoy the new changes although the principles of the site remain the same; I write reviews on products I have used and I have been enjoying writing music reviews there lately on my fave artists that they feature
Apart from that, it is a hobby like any other site I use and not a job

I am surprised too when I reach past minimum payout already when in fact I had just above $3 yesterday. So, i dig and scrutinize the site and there I found that there was already a Premium amount and I am happy about it since I only made 4 reviews last month. Right now I only have 3 reviews in December and I am not planning of stopping making reviews but I decided to focus in Ciao cafe since I could write more with flexibility. The new guidelines is great in getting rid of those who just write reviews for the sake of and not make quality reviews as possible.

I am still writing reviews in Ciao. I have not checked my balance today but earlier I was earning a lot from Ciao.
I like the site and probably I shall continue to write her despite I get anything from premium fund or not. Anyway other day I noticed that my earning is still increasing, probably from rating by others.

i have not logged in again on this site after they haev made some changes in how to earn from this site. i ti s because i don't know how to earn from this stie any more with their new rules. and i am still waiting for my payout request to make sure before i continue to make reviews on this site that they are truly poaying members from their earnings that they have made on this site. well i guess with your earnings though you have not made any more reviews that i will try to be active again on this site. i just have to make a good reviews so that other members will going to rate my reviews. do we earn if we rate other reviews as well.

I think many are waiting for their pay, huh? I'm rather optimistic they will pay or they wouldn't be awarding the premium fund

I have not gotten any premium fund. :( I really do not like the scheme that they have now though they were very generous in the past. I am a bit disappointed at the decline of the rates. Maybe I will try Dooyoo too!

Dooyoo pays 50p per review(500 points) I think international members avoid it coz you get paid in vouchers

I have noticed in the terms and agreement that they will not give cheques to those not from UK. I did not continue my membership sign up.

Congrats marina, I joined last month with few reviews only. Unfortunately after I joined the payment scheme at ciao changed. i got a little disheartened. but your post has raised hopes for me that there is still chance for making money from ciao if the reviews are real quality.

Yah i do, last time i checked i got only $5.62, then after a day when ciao decided to change their system, i logged in and find my earnings was already $10.64, and i never write a review that time, so i thought maybe it was for the premium fund, anyway thanks to ciao and would still stay there, though i would be writing less. I am still earning there from positive ratings of other members, so my suggestion is we just help each other, we give positive ratings to those who deserve it, and just a "no comment" if we find the review not helpful, so as not to full him down. Besides we are all making a hard doing reviews for them.

Ever since ciao changed their payment system, i have only made 5 reviews there.. lol =D As for premium fund, i also dunno how do i qualify for it.. If it's depending on ratings and reading of reviews, then i guess i can forget about earning anything more from ciao.. lol =D
Now at most, i will be writing just 1 review a day, and see how it goes.. PLus now, their payout has increased to $10.. lol =D It's gonna be hard..

Kun2349, I can't see anything anywhere about payout being increased to $10
Have just checked Top 10 questions and announcements and payout is £5 still Are you sure?
There's also a section on the site's member's center and how the premium fund works and it's also in announcements if you want to take a peek...

I think most are waiting with baited breath for payments tomorrow going by the discussions..
I'd say hang in there, I do not think they'd be awarding premium fund if they do not plan to pay...

I still do well on Ciao since the pay rate changed. The Premium Fund has done very well for me and I don't even know how I got in it. Last month I received an extra $7.00 in my Ciao account. and today I just got $15.00 from the premium fund. I make approximately $5.00 a day there. It seems to really matter what color dot you have and how active you are.
