If somebody will insult you with very rude words, what will you do?

I have been insulted with rude words many times in the past but most of the time I did not respond. I did not see any reason why I should become angry and physically attack the person or insult the person back. I can do both but that would bring me down to the same level as the person is, or even worse, Usually I look at the person before moving away. all the best, rosdimy

i'll try my best to control myself and act indifferent. i won't stoop down to his level. excuse me.

I would be hurt at first and the desire to slap that person would probably be great. But usually i have a very long patience so I'll walk away from that unpleasant situation.
