Hi friends, I am very sure you are also fond of reading different kinds of books that is why you did choose to respond with dis discussion. As a book lover, you had already read lots of different books written by dfferent famous writers.
But is there a chance that you had chosen a book to be read because you were amazed on how the cover was made or because you were curios of it's title and at the end, you regret why you managed to waste your time by just reading that book?
Well this is the time that you can share to us what is the feeling of experiencing such.

I had that happen recently. The Perfect Fit by Louise Kean was the book. I read the description of it and thought it might be something I'd like to read. I found it in the bargain section of Barnes and Noble. After reading it I could see why it was marked down. It was horrible! I was so disappointed in the story. I even thought about not finishing it but I don't like leaving books unfinished. I'm just glad I didn't pay the full price for it.

Many times. Some are business books that have interesting titles but after reading the entire book, you realize the book's contents can be summarized into 1 or 2 points. I like books with a lot of stories (business examples) or interesting facts. I also like books that know how to get to the point.

Yes, Twilight seemed like a wonderful to read at first, but man, it was awful. It was nothing like the vampires I know for legend. These vampires are wimpy. Poor Dracula would be crying in his coffin if he read this book.

For sure, I have read a few books that I wish I had not wasted my time on. I have never chosen a book by just its cover so at least I don't have that aggrevation with myself. Most of the ones I have regretted reading have been bookclub choices and I continued to read them because I knew I would be discussion it with others.

lol, yeah i did that once. There was this book that had this cool cover(don't remember exactly how it looked but i do know it caught my attention) but the book was AMAZINGLY HORRIBLE! i regretted ever laying my hands on such pile of rubbish bc the time spent reading that book i could have been reading something a tad bit more interesting. That is why from that moment fwd i make my friends do all the reading and they recommend the book to me. (my friends and i kinda have similar taste in reading material). :)

Since I read a lot, once in a while, I do come across a book that I cannot get into. If that happens I usually either try to finish it, if I can stomach it or most commonly I would just stop.
The first that comes to mind is the 2nd book of Jennifer Armitrout's Blood Ties series. I got all three from the library. I finished the first book, and although I wasn't impressed thought it might get better. I started the 2nd book and couldn't finish it. I returned them all, the third book untouched.
So yes, there are times, I have picked up a dud and hated it.

Yeah, I read a book entitled, "Smart women, foolish choices" (I forgot the author's name but I am certain it was written by a male psychologist...). It was a fun-intriguing book at first until I realized that it was all about "love addiction" and it never helped much on my counseling. It was a "creepy" material to use and I don't recommend it as a self-help either because some facts could not be applied to the general women battling with that term, "love addiction". Hmmmm... Hmmm... Hmmm...
