If I dream of good things, I believe. But if I dream of something bad or scary I try not to believe it.
Last night I dreamt of a snake around me. I am so afraid of a snake that everytime I see one I am thinking that it might capture and swallow me. Since this is a bad dream for me, I just take this as a warning or a precaution from people who may have a snake attitude. How about you, do you believe in your dreams? How do you deal with it? Do you interpret your dreams?

I don't believe in dreams. But as I'm interested in the psychology, I consider the dream as the sign of my subconciousness. And I will pay attention to when I feel depressed.

I do agree with you. If it is a good one, I would rather believe it was true. On the other hand, the bad dreams will be just forgot by me!

Well since your brain doesnt fully shut down, your mind doesnt stop thinking. I believe things you are scared of or stressed out about, become visual and sometimes confusing dreams.
i believe they reveal alot of what your truly stressed about.

Yes I strongly believe in dreams of all forms and types. I will do anything to induce myself into a dream like state or too have dream like thoughts. I personally like both the good and happy dreams as well as nightmares or scary dreams. We all interpret our dreams in our own way some of us see danger through certain experiences and others see good things for the future and so on and so forth.

There are dreams that I wished would come true. However, maybe that's what dreams are for...something to look forward to, or something you can attain with hard work.

I also believe in dreams. I think we usually remember the bad dreams because they frighten us so much. I also believe that they are significant in some way during our daily lives. But I try not to give them too much power in my daily activities. I would rather spend my time looking forward than over my shoulder.

I do not believe in all dreams as a sign or foretelling the future. In my religion dreams are divided into three categories. The first are dreams from the self and these are usually nice dreams The second are dreams from the devil and these are usually the nightmares. The third are dreams from God and these are usually 'prophetic' dreams.
In your case if you are a female then the snake means someone is in love with you. If you are a male (I am unable to guess your gender from your profile) then it means you have an enemy.
all the best,
rosdimy

I dont believe in dreams..it's precisely the product of how stressful your day.. If you keep on thinking about it theres a possibility it will come true.. Psychologically, its your mind who keep insisting that scene to become true.. I have so many dreams too but i dont interpret it..just ignore it and you'll have a peacefull mind.

I don't really believe that dreams are manifestations of something in the future. I do believe, however, that they are manifestations of your deepest fears, desires, or other feelings manifested as images or visions in your sleep. So in a way, they could be interpreted as a sign or warning if you will, of something that is haunting or bothering you since they're how your subconscious interprets your inner desires or fears.

In college, we used to think of dreams as mere representations of our innermost thoughts - what's inside the subconscious, to be exact. We had several discussions (and heated arguments, too) about the real nature of dreams. Sadly, not even our professors were able to really give us a definite answer except that the levels of the consciousness behave differently. The subconscious is the repository of our innermost desires, wishes, and thoughts that we never thought existed. It is, perhaps, through dreams that these messages are manifested. And if you asked me if I believe in dreams, I guess I have to admit that it does reflect our inner thoughts. The only problem is how to interpret it because these are mere abstractions and should not be construed as real things or manifestations. Consider for example your dream of a snake. Our interpretation of that dream largely depends on how our brain thinks about snakes in general. If we think snakes are relatively bad, then we may interpret our dreams as bad, too. However, if we were a biologist who specializes in snakes, then perhaps our interpretation will be a bit different.

I believe that each dream, good or bad, has some significance to my life. Each dream has a symbol or symbols, which mean something. I have a couple of dream books and occasionally look up the meanings to these symbols.
