What do your parents say?

I think that if you really like the guy and he is good to you and you know that you want to be with this person it should be your say. Yes it's important what your parents say but your an adult now and the decisions you make should be your knowing that some are not going to agree with them like the parentals (parents). I know my parents weren't to keen on some of my boyfriends but they told me as long as I was happy and he treated me good that they would try to accept him. So it can really go either way on this.

My parents never seemed to like my boyfriends. But not ever enough to say I couldn't date them. Yes, it mattered to me that they didn't like them but I was aware that it would be close to impossilbe to ever really please my parents in this area. That is until they met my now husband. Not only do they adore him but I think they like him better than they like me.

What they say matters to me but not much because i still have the last say whether to ditch my girlfriend or not. I have matured as an adult and i already know what is right or wrong. If i thing there's nothing wrong with something especially about my girlfriend then nothing and noone can stop me from loving her. i value my parents' views too but i need to explain to them more then i need to explain to my girlfriend whats really the score.

parents are the best persons to ask for advice when it comes to relationship. since they are your parents they know basically what's best for you. they have experience a lot when it comes to life so they always know if the guy is really sincere with you. so if my parents told me to stop seing this guy, whatever the reason is, i will listen to them.

Parents are very smart people, atleast usually. It's always good to listen to what they have to say about a boyfriend. Good or bad. But you always have to follow your heart in the end. My first two serious boyfriends my parents didn't really care for and they were right for the most part. When I got together with my fiance' they were a little confused about the situation because he had two children already. But they love him now. So yes I listened to them about guys, but that didn't mean I always took their advice to heart.

Yes it does matter a lot. Yes er have our own decisions but it's better to listen to your parent's view about this...
