how do u decide which discussion u tend to respond?

hi,guys! we are all here responding to other's discussion more than starting a new discussion. usually when i tend to respond, i just take a look at two parts on the homepage:the discussions which are started by my friends and the discussions from my interests. and i will take a quick look at their titles to decide whether its the one i'm interested in..For those seems a little weird or what i know little, i will open up the discussion for detail reading and then decide whether respond or not..Plus, for those of useless controversy or sensitive issues, i'd like to keep my mouth shut often...
so what about u, guys? how do u decide which discussion u tend to respond?

i don't really for discussions in my interest. i look for from my friends and no responses. both help to increase rating when you respond.and also there is better chance to get best response from the ones which are not that interesting may be i will be the only one that answered that and it get's me good friends also.

I don't have much time, so I always start with my friends discussions first.
If I get tired, or no discussions to respond to, than I see new discussions or check on my individual friends.

Hi frnds,
i will decide which discussion i tend to a good responds.I will giving a good
respondses for any discussions and i will give good responds for good discussionss.
I will prefer first of all intrest and if a good discussions is their so i will give a good post for that responds so i can get good ratings to me.
I will prefer a good intrest one so that for me its a advantage.

I try to answer discussions I know I'll be able to say a lot about. I usually look under "no responses" because it's easier for me to just answer someones' discussion if no one has answered it. I also look at the top discussions and the discussions from my interests. Usually the top discussions are pretty broad questions or topics that anyone would be able to answer.

I respond to any discussion once it spark my interest. Lately i notice that i've been sticking to reading, books, and music so am trying to broaden my horizon so to speak.

I decide on whether I can answer the subject in more than two sentences, although with friends, I tend to answer it if I get the feeling that they need help. I do not answer discussions when I get the feeling that for some reason, it is not allowed, like those about "I made ---!" or "why does someone on myLot hate me?" etc. type. Some posts I am not good at answering - no I do not mean controversial subjects - because I know nothing about the subject and some that are a bit too racey I do not want to answer and have people think the worse of me.
The rest, I will try, but it depends on time.

I tend to look for discussions with no responses, discussions friends started and discussions from my interests. I also like to look through the discussions on news. I tend to try to stay away from discussions that are hot because they are usually contriversial but somtimes I cant resist.

Hi kunking ! I choose to respond a discussion when I checked first on friends started list, then the new section, frequently I go to today's top and my interest. This is because when I usually hooked with friends discussions and new topics, there are days though, that I wouldn't respond to anything since I couldn't relate to anything or add something on, I just read posts of friends. hmmm I mostly see home page first and have a glance at all dicussions
which are todays top,friends ,,intrests and accoring to weather I
can respond or not I will give responses,,,If I dont know what
actually the discussion I will ask them what is that ,,,
Mostly I respond to friends discussions.....:)

yes kunking i agree with how you choose the discussions to respond.initially i was lost here not understanding how to pick the discussions,but now am a little comfortable with mylotting.responding to topics which dont fall in our interests category or the ones on which we dont have any knowledge is just wasting our and other people's time.

there are a lot of ways i decide to respond the discussion.For example,i start at the interests i like,and then take a quick look at the titles of all the discussion,i pick the ones i want to respond.and at sometimes,i just press the discussion buttom and see what is new or what is noresponses,if i have something to say about the topic,i will send some word on it.

I respond to those discussion where there is something to be discussed! :) Where I have something to say. Where I have some thoughts about. My own experiences that I would like to share with others. It is not easy to start a discussion that people might like and enjoy. Discussions that are negative or ask too much of personal or intimate information are not those ones that I would join.
